EMH is offering 10 conference support bursaries of up to £500 for individuals presenting at or attending conferences in the mental health field.
Edinburgh Mental Health has 10 bursaries of up to £500 available to support PhD students and early career researchers presenting at, or who would like to attend, conferences in the field of mental health this Spring/Summer. The funds are intended to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and registration for UK-based or online conferences where other funding is not provided.
Eligibility:
PhD students and early career researchers from any discipline at the University of Edinburgh who are presenting at or attending a conference in the field of mental health are eligible to apply.
Priority will be given to applicants who are presenting their work.
Applicants must adhere to University Expenditure Guidelines, including the Sustainable Travel Policy (note: travel within the UK is generally restricted to trains). Please also be aware of the restrictions on AirBnB bookings.

While the conference itself may occur after 31st July 2025, all funds must be spent by this date.
Successful applicants will be asked to write a brief report for our blog about their conference experience and how it contributed to their career or professional development.
