Edinburgh Mental Health has 10 bursaries of up to £500 available to support PhD students and early career researchers presenting at, or who would like to attend, conferences in the field of mental health this Spring/Summer. The funds are intended to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and registration for UK-based or online conferences where other funding is not provided.   

Eligibility:  

• PhD students and early career researchers from any discipline at the University of Edinburgh who are presenting at or attending a conference in the field of mental health are eligible to apply.

• Priority will be given to applicants who are presenting their work.

• Applicants must adhere to University Expenditure Guidelines, including the Sustainable Travel Policy (note: travel within the UK is generally restricted to trains). Please also be aware of the restrictions on AirBnB bookings.

• While the conference itself may occur after 31st July 2025, all funds must be spent by this date.

• Successful applicants will be asked to write a brief report for our blog about their conference experience and how it contributed to their career or professional development.
