What is meant by lived experience/ experts by experience? Why is it important? How can we meaningfully engage experts by experience in mental health research? What does good practice look like?
Edinburgh Mental Health, in collaboration with experts from The Wellcome Trust, The Pan African Network of Persons with Psychosocial Disabilities, The SCOPE project and The PROMISE Project Malawi, will be exploring these key questions in a collaborative online symposium on Thursday 21st March 2024, 12noon-2pm GMT, 2-4pm CAT/SAST.
Researchers working across the world in a variety of disciplines will share examples of their work, provide insights into why inclusion is necessary, demonstrate the impact of their research, and suggest ways forward in the field of mental health.
